The Structafloor Safety Pallet Loading Gate

Iso View - Click to EnlargeOperator safety from continuous protection

The risk to operatives working at exposed edges such as mezzanine platforms, whenever goods need to be transferred from one level to another and passing through the protective handrail barrier, can be minimised or eliminated due to the maintained continuity of the handrail barrier at all times. There is no need for exposure to the danger which exists whilst closing inferior devices such as sliding rails, hinged gates etc. - or indeed forgetting to do so.

Simple assembly and easy operation   (Click here to see it work)

As a result of the cleverly unique design the unit is simple to assemble, install and operate, and barring impact damage should last indefinitely without maintenance, other than re-painting perhaps. It is carefully balanced to require just a few kilos of effort to revolve, in its heavy duty ball bearing plummer blocks, from the receiving to the discharge position, yet those few kilos are enough to safely keep it in either park position without latching gears, catches or springs. Furthermore, it is not possible for the unit to come to rest unassisted anywhere between the two park positions.

Low headroom and occupied floor space requirement

The pivot bearing position and the 90° maximum swing requirement provide another important plus, whereby much greater clearances are provided over the goods but within a lower overall headroom and floor space requirement.

Availability

We do endeavour to maintain stocks of both standard and high load versions in single, intermediate and double width sized units for early despatch, painted in a safety orange colour (RAL2008), but other widths and colours are available on request.
